Appointments

All office visits are by appointment only. Please call 860-572-9566 to schedule an appointment. If you have an acute problem, please let the staff know and we will make every effort to see you that day.

We would appreciate 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment. We bill for missed appointments.

After hours emergencies for established patients are handled by calling our on call doctor. This number is available on our phone message.

New Patients

Your first visit at Natura Medica will generally take about 90 minutes to complete. As we are gathering your health information, it is very helpful if you remember to bring your completed patient intake form, actual bottles of supplements and prescription drugs you are currently taking. Recent lab and imaging results can also be helpful.

Pharmacy Refills

Following your treatment plan with consistency will give you the best results and we hope you find our pharmacy helpful. Our pharmacy is open during office hours. If possible, please contact the office by phone 860-572-9566, fax 860-572-7318 or email pharmacy@naturamedicamystic.com before coming to pick up a refill so we can have it ready for you. If you cannot come in, we will be happy to ship it to you for a nominal shipping charge.

Health Insurance Guidelines

We are preferred providers with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and Healthnet and we will submit your claim for you if this is your primary insurance. Co-payments according to your policy are required at time of visit.

If you have health insurance other than Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, or Healthnet, payment is expected at time of visit. This helps us keep our fees as low as possible. Our staff will assist you with the forms necessary for you to submit to your health insurance carrier. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) all of the services provided by Natura Medica are considered qualified medical expenses.

Most major insurance companies except Medicare cover the services of naturopathic physicians in Connecticut.

Insurance coverage can be confusing so we encourage you to make yourself familiar with your coverage. We will do our best to help you with your health insurance questions. Please remember that management of your medical reimbursements is ultimately your responsibility.
